2nd Post-Rock Instrumental Band from the Commonwealth of Virginia reviewed in the same week.
Kursk have traditional PR song structures starting w/ gentle ambient leanings & climaxing with heavier guitar crescendos at the apex of each track.
All but 2 of these trax are under 5 minutes in length: so I appreciate the band's attention to detail in not extending songs for pretentious purposes.
A great excursion into dynamic sound.
Kudos to Carolina Chrys for turning me on to both Kursk & Julia Pox.
Favorite track: Lost With All Hands.
